Mi Proceso

Querido Dios (35). Real o imaginario? Dear God (35) Real or imaginary?

Sandra Albornoz

Dear God (35)

Real or imaginary?

A wise person recently said that the brain does not distinguish between real and imaginary. That’s what my life has become, a struggle between the scientifically evident, and the spiritually longing. I know well that the word decrees, and day by day I am working on it. The word cancer itself has a very strong connotation. It is almost as if it is imbued with death. My struggle is to understand and accept that only God knows my destiny, that men and science decree something, but that there is also free will. It is my responsibility to help myself from every point of view, and to be able to continue forward with my battle. If I give up without even having fought, my brain computes that and sends this information to the body, and I begin to fall into a downward spiral. My struggle is and will continue to be to live each moment fully, having the certainty and faith that God is in control, and that if I help myself, and do the work, my body slowly begins to react positively. The biggest fight is in my mind, and itv is important to stop it, enter in silence and refocus. Sandra Albornoz
